The SKYNA Story
It's pretty simple. The Community Foundation of Southcentral Kentucky offered a enriching leadership cadre to a group of executive directors in 2024. It was a 12 month commitment to learning, sharing and growing together. This first cadre became a relational group and at the end of the year wondered how to keep the support for one another going and to help other Executive Directors experience the same. The idea of SKYNA was born and over the next nine months the SKYNA founding ten met to begin to develop an alliance for nonprofits in southcentral Kentucky, specifically the Barren River Area Development District.
